Carl DeMaio is not waiting to become Mayor before he tackles problems.
Carl leading the effort to fix the single biggest financial problem facing our city: unsustainable pensions for city employees.
Working with a broad coalition of taxpayer advocates, business groups, and community organizations, Carl has committed to passing the Comprehensive Pension Reform (CPR) ballot measure in the June 2012 election.
"We need pension reform NOW," Carl noted when kicking off the effort to qualify the CPR Initiative by collecting more than 95,000 signatures of San Diego voters. Over 2500 San Diegans joined Carl in producing a record-breaking 145,000 signatures to qualify the measure.
