DeMaio Launches First TV Ad Buy of General Election

With nine weeks to go and the general election kicking into high gear today, the campaign of San Diego Mayoral candidate Carl DeMaio launched its first General Election TV Ad buy this week with an ad called “Not a Label.”

“With three citywide campaigns under my belt, I am thrilled to have been able to attract broad support from Democrats, Republicans, and independents.” said Carl DeMaio. “Today’s campaign ad is emphasizing our positive and uplifting message: bringing people together to solve San Diego’s problems. I believe San Diegans want a leader who has a balanced approach to governing and will work with all San Diegans regardless of political affiliations.”

The verbal script of the ad is as follows:

“For Carl DeMaio, independence is not a label; it’s his life story. Orphaned as a child, losing his mother to cancer, Carl always had to overcome challenges—driving him to do what’s right. He built two businesses from nothing. He’s bringing people together to solve San Diego’s biggest problems. Carl DeMaio has always been an independent voice, a problem solver. Carl DeMaio will get things done and do what’s right for San Diego.”
