Councilmembers Unite Behind Reform Candidate Carl DeMaio
Mayoral candidate Carl DeMaio was honored to receive the endorsement from Council President Pro-Tem Kevin Faulconer, Councilmember Lorie Zapf and Councilmembers-elect Mark Kersey and Scott Sherman today.
“I am proud to have received the endorsement from these individuals who have a proven track-record of fighting for taxpayers instead of the special interests,” said DeMaio.
“This election presents a clear choice between two candidates with very different visions for San Diego," said Kevin Faulconer. "There is only one Mayoral candidate who will continue our mission to guard San Diego's tax dollars -- Carl DeMaio."
“I’ve gotten to know Carl well during the past year at Council. He has proven time and again that he has the backbone to stand up to the special interests and fight for taxpayers,” said Zapf.
“Constituents in District 5 know Carl well. They know he has their best interests in mind at City Council which is why I am supporting him for Mayor,” said Mark Kersey.
“Since 2008, Carl DeMaio has been fighting government waste and I am proud to join his coalition of taxpayer advocates to push for further reform at City Hall,” said Scott Sherman.”
“I am proud to have a strong coalition of Councilmembers that will stand with me as we continue our efforts to clean up city hall,” said DeMaio.
